Counseling

Counseling is at the core of what we do at The Center KSQ. The inception of the design of our integrated-wellness community was founded on the insight and vision of our original counseling team. Counseling is such a vital and important tool. It centers around not what is wrong with you, but about what has happened. This is a paradigm shift in the clinical world and a cornerstone to who we are and how we practice as a team at The Center KSQ.

Eric Shapiro
CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR, MS

Eric Shapiro is a mental health therapist whose work is grounded in creativity, compassion, and a trauma-focused lens. He helps adolescents and adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, career concerns, life changes, and existential struggle. Clients often experience Eric as thoughtful, steady, and deeply respectful of the complexity of their stories. He creates a therapeutic space where difficult experiences can be explored honestly and without judgment.

A writer, father, and graduate of Thomas Jefferson University’s Trauma Counseling program, Eric integrates cognitive behavioral, existential, and narrative approaches into his work. He is especially drawn to helping clients understand how past experiences shape the present and how greater awareness can create a stronger bridge toward healing and fulfillment. Eric is also certified in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD and brings confidence and sensitivity to trauma-focused treatment. Eric has completed his hours for licensure, license in process.
